ROLE: PR Account Executive

BRIEF: Talking Drum Communications is looking for a UK-based Public Relations Account Executive to join the team. Excellent organisation and writing skills, as well as an interest in African Tech is essential. You will be working directly with the founder to support business growth and deliver opportunities for clients. You will also get the chance to work with some of the brightest minds that are shaping the future of the African continent.

LOCATION: London/Hybrid

JOB ENGAGEMENT: Full time

JOB TYPE: Permanent

SALARY: £22-26k per annum

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Providing support and assistance across client accounts to ensure that day-to-day handling and administrative requirements for clients are met.

Liaising with journalists to secure media opportunities for clients.

Monitoring media coverage and reporting results to the wider team and clients.

Assisting with the delivery of specified tasks for assigned client accounts.

To contribute to and initiate new ideas and fresh thinking on client communications strategies and tactics.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Excellent academic track record.

Demonstrable interest in African tech.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organisation skills.

Can-do attitude and willingness to learn.

Curious and passionate.

QUALIFICATIONS
